I have long admired the stylish simplicity of a Hermes Birkin bag. Not because of its ability to be a status symbol, because I am a person that would ever flaunt my status but because I think the bag is so classic. Classic like a Chanel bag for the working woman on the go. A Birkin bag adds the right professional, stylish sophistication. Hermes Birkin bags start around $9,000 and if that price is a little to steep for you I have found a cheap alternative below the break.

Kardashian Kollection's Sears Debut

After a trip to the mall to do a little shopping I ended up in Sears. I haven’t shopped in the store in years but I was happy I did that day. I scored some items that made me beyond happy, but this shall be told in another post my darlings.

Into the Future

There is a quiet rumble in the world of fashion over Fashion Week 2013 dates. Apparently Milan’s show dates will conflict with London’s causing them to overlap. The cause of the problem is New York Fashion Week dates which start on September 13, a week later than its normal starting date. This is due to the way 2013 dates will fall on the calendar. In 2008 it was decided by the Fashion Week powers that be that the shows would start on the second Thursday in February and September. Read on to see possible outcomes.

Thrifted: Vintage Almondo Purse

Hey, guys. I must share with you this beautiful vintage Almondo purse I scored from the thrift store. It is this pretty shade of what I call sandy pink. Besides the handles, it came with a removable shoulder strap. The bag is in excellent condition. No rips, faded spots or tears.I have only had it for about a week and have worn it a few times already. I can't believe two things: One, that someone would throw it out. Two, that the thrift store I purchased it from priced it at only $3.00. Steal!!! I guess it's true one (wo)man's junk is another (wo)man's treasure.

I have been bitten by the feather earring trend. I have to pairs so far.  A tan and brown pair and a green pair with green beading. I am sure that they will be featured in future Outfit of the Day posts. But the best part....I got them for a steal. $1.99 each!!! No lie.

After watching all of her YouTube videos (yes, I said ALL) I was thrilled to hear that stylist to the stars, June Ambrose, would be getting her own reality show.

I was looking through photos of Paris Fashion Week shows again and the one that always stands out the most is the Chanel Spring/Summer 2012 runway show and collection. In other photos you'll see that the models were adorned with pearls and pearl like adornments down their backs, ears and/or face. Product Chi 44 Iron Guard and Chi Silk Infusions

Hey guys I wanted to do a quick review of Chi 44 Iron Guard and Chi Silk Infusion. First let me state that I have naturally curly-kinky hair. I used both products to give myself a blow out and flat iron press.  I was very pleased with the products. The 44 Iron Guard protected my strands from heat damage and the Chi Silk Infusion allowed me to blow dry with ease while also keeping my hair soft and beautiful. I forgot to take pictures and I rarely blow out and press my hair. I won't do it again until the summer of next year.

Product Rating:
Chi Iron 44 Guard    A+
Chi Silk Infusion       A+

Pros: Smell (Smells good, but has a strong smell, almost like men's cologne)
         Protected from heat damage
         A little goes a long way, so ignore the price
Con: Perhaps the price ($13 for the 44 Iron Guard and $23 for the Silk Infusion)
         Using too much of the Silk Infusion could result in very oily hair (I used a nickel to quarter sized amounts            
         on each section-four sections total).

Beyonce Channels Eras Past

Beyonce just released a video for her song, ‘Countdown’. When I saw the video I was immediately enamored with the fashion and the pop culture references. The two that stood out the most to me were the Audrey Hepburn Funny Face references and the Jennifer Beals Flash Dance references. What's All the Fuss About?

This post will be brief. It is my response to Kanye West’s DW fashion line debut at Paris Fashion Week. I seriously don’t know what all the fuss is about. I heard that the line was terrible so I went on line and took a peek. Terrible? No. Fully developed? Perhaps not. But it is his first foray into being a fashion designer of his own label.
