I was making my cyber rounds when I spotted Solange Knowles in this light yellow Christopher Kane dress with bright pink CC Skye clutch and color blocked Fendi heels. Ms. Knowles looks Spring ready in this ensemble.

Solange was attending the launch of Tiffany's "True Love in Pictures" at Tiffany & Co in NYC where she also DJ'd...in this dress. Fashionista at work !!!

Mind on Spring

Werk It: Kirsten Bell

I choose this outfit to feature in this week's Werk It because it can often be hard for women to be trendy and fashionable in the winter months. However, I think this is how it's done. I love Kirsten's use of trendy pieces, patterns, textures and bright pops of color, while still being seasonally sensible. Perhaps I'll do a fashion set and show you examples of how to create similar looks.

Solange Knowles' New Career Move

Solange Knowles: singer, songwriter, DJ, spokeswoman and now...model. That's right, model. Solange recently signed with Next Model Management. She debuted recently at Milan Fashion Week walking in Alberta Ferretti's Autumn/Winter 2012 show.

This is not Solange's first try at modeling however. She has been featured in ads for House of Dereon, Rimmel and Armani Jeans. She was also one of the faces for Carol's Daughter's Monoi Collection.

Wonder Woman Miranda Kerr

That's supermodel Miranda Kerr on the cover of Australia's fashion magazine, Grazia. The magazine says that they feel choosing Kerr was a risky choice because Wonder Woman is such an international icon but that 28-year-old Kerr was the right choice. They issued the following statement: "She's the star who, time and time again, our readers say they most admire; a businesswoman, a wife, a mum." and
"She is our wonder woman. And she has the presence to pull this recreation off." The Wonder Woman movie has been shelved as far as I can remember. Perhaps......

Thrifted: Strictured Handbags

I have added these two new structured handbags to my handbag collection. One is an olive green leather bag and the other a black and gold faux croc. I got each bag for a steal, each one under $5. Yep, $5. If you don't you might want to look into thrifting.
