Thrifted: Tweed Coat with Fur Collar

As I have stated before I love a good thrift store hunt. When a great piece is found it is like receiving the best reward. That's how I felt when I found this beautiful tweed coat. Go beyond the break for more info.
This tweed coat features a fur collar, and belted waist. It is my special occasion coat. I plan on wearing it for the first time to dinner on my birthday this Saturday and will post an Outfit Of The Day (OOTD) with more pics of the coat. I purchased this coat for $19.99 at a local thrift store chain, Savers. It is a vintage coat from  Dayton's, a Minnesota based department store, that was sold to Marshal Field, which later became Macy's. Dayton's Oval Room was a high end label and department within the store. As far as my research on it shows, the line was started around the mid-1940s and ran to about the mid-1960s. Gotta love a great find, especially when there is history attached to it.
