Okay so the Grammys aired yesterday. I'm not sure if it was Whitney Houston's passing or what but the show, save a few good moments, was a bore. So was the fashion. Although a few got it right the shades were in the same color palette. Yawn. And those who did break the color palette weren't succesful. Here's a few from my list. Note: Taraji P. Henson was a 'good' but is absent from my list because tomorrow she will have her own post. I liked her dress that much. Go beyond the break for more ...
Paris Hilton, Kelly Rowland, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood all made my list of the best dressed of the night. The details of their dress, the silhouettes and the fresh faces I just felt these ladies brought class and style to the Grammys red carpet.
I appreciate the fact that Amber Rose tried to bring a little color to the red carpet but I felt this shade of yellow did not compliment her skin tone. Other than that the silhouette was flattering. Alicia Keys: I really disliked the cut on the shoulders. I felt everything about her look was too hard. I think something should have been softer to create balance in her look. I just did not like Katy Perry matching hair and dress look. I am seriously over the gimmicks. I can't...I just can't. Rhianna makes the bad list because it looks as though she didn't even try and not in that effortlessly fabulous kind of way. It was just blah.
Only two ladies made my ugly list this year. MC Lyte and Nicki Minaj. MC Lyte's dress is overly structured at the top and the overall fit is just unflattering to such a beautiful woman. I did love her shoes. Nicki Minaj. Again I just can't with the gimmics. Le Sigh.Did I miss anyone? Let me know what you though of Sunday nights red carpet fashion.
